"Real talk: Leslie Knope is so important as a character because I remember being younger, and everyone would kind of look at you funny for being excited about something. It was cool to be chill and apathetic. Now, when someone has that enthusiasm, people think of Leslie, and it’s a good thing. When someone says, “you remind me of Leslie Knope,” that’s a huge compliment."
